KIWIS CONNECT – for a positive future

Kiwis Connect began as a follow on from Hordur Torfason’s visit in March.
From his talk we have taken the need for change and created an initiative to help wake up people in New Zealand.
This was not just created by The Awareness Party but by other people as well.

Now it has gone live and so until September that is our main ACTION initiative.

Our Demo for Democracy took place in 14 centres throughout New Zealand on Sept 1st.

We will organise other events- maybe even on line virtual rallies -in the future.

Opening the hearts and minds of Kiwis
to the idea of freedom democracy and sovereignty,
not influenced by corporate control and privatisation.
Human need not corporate greed!

 

Mission:

To unite diverse (New Zealand) groups to align their various energies to put human rights above corporate rights
by alerting people of the urgent issues that are undermining our freedom and sovereignty
and the actions that we can take to address them
To connect and integrate communities to effect real change – empowering people to create the world they want.

Integrating all the issues:

¢  Government – how professional corporate lobbying denies us of our democratic voice

¢  The TPPA a vehicle for corporate control

¢  Banks and unequal wealth

¢  Media – we need the truth

¢  Food, Seeds, and Pesticides, GMOs.

¢  Mining – corporate interest over local interest

¢  Pollution, environmental and climate issues

¢  Health – Big PHARMA controls

¢  Fluoride – mass medication should be illegal

¢  Education – privatising – bulk funding  – Charter  – schools

¢  Justice and prisons – privatised

¢  Arms Industry promotes war – keep NZ nuclear free

¢  And more………

Q: How can we reduce the influence of the corporate greed in NZ and promote democracy and sovereignty?

¢  A:  Inform the public

¢  Raise awareness of the issues and how they are connected

¢  This will affect who we choose to govern the country and influence their policies; nb this will be a year before the next elections and could well affect the outcome.

Create Family Friendly Peaceful Rallies

¢  Each organisation participating in the demonstration wears a colour of their choosing – making a colourful demonstration and making it easy for people to recognise their chosen group
eg Green for Green Party; Yellow for Fluoride; Red for Labour etc

¢  Organisers wear orange arm bands

¢  Pots and pans and wooden spoons – percussion rather than aggression!

¢  Music, song dance and fun – not protest!

Capture the Media

¢  We need the truth

¢  Investigative journalism

¢  Reporting what is really happening  (rather than murders and car accidents as main news)!!

¢  Independent opinion pieces uncensored

Capture the People

¢  Build awareness of corporate GREED

¢  Show how all the issues that we protest about are linked

¢  Empower people to stand up for what is right

¢  Encourage action

¢  Use no confrontational language

¢  Respect people, just challenge issues, as that doesn’t create enemies!

¢  Work together even although we have different points of view or focuses.
